Team work achieves many goals including getting the job done on time and saving our clients much needed time and money.

Our firm works closely with clients to dramatically transform neighborhoods into vibrant, livable communities. Through thoughtful design and planning, we revitalize urban commercial corners and reimagine the relationship between retail and residential development.

As masters of complex, urban mixed-use development and planning, we bring innovative design solutions to every project, enriching communities and strengthening economies. We partner with and advocate for our clients at every phase. We address all aspects of a project—from obtaining entitlements and concept planning and design through production, construction, and project close-out—often extending to retail tenant planning and environmental graphic design. Our project approach is creative and pragmatic, relying on our in-depth experience and extensive project knowledge.

Well-established, yet young in spirit and enthusiasm, our firm ventures into a fourth collaborative decade with clients who choose us, trust us and get our absolute dedication.

From starting this firm in the back garage with two work stations into a nationally recognized firm, we pride ourselves on doing what we can for our community.

Coastal Architects was formed as a partnership between Jeff Zook and  Michael Sanchez with the intent on delivering professional architectural and design services with an emphasis on customer service. Mike Sanchez has served on the Oxnard Planning Commission and the Downtown Management District and Jeff Zook serves on the executive committee for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme.  Both Jeff and Mike have experience working with the City of Oxnard staff as consulting design architects at the DAC level. In addition, both Mike and Jeff reside within the City of Oxnard limits and the main office is conveniently located in downtown Oxnard.

Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful.

    One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar. The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, wild Question Marks and devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen.
